Meeting AMIGOS in NYC

A thing happened last week whiel I was in New York City for Affiliate Summit.

I added a couple of extra days to my trip to meet up with some of the people I have been literally spending every morning with.

Every single day since December of 2020 I have been hosting a morning networking room on Clubhouse.

This has led to meeting (virtually) some really great people, many of whom I truly feel a connection with.

It’s strange because we never met IRL until last week.

We decided to plan a dinner outing with our NYC based AMIGOS familia and finally meet.

Peruvian American financial planner and wonderful dad, Santiago Caceres, coordinated a dinner at this great Peruvian restaurant, Kausa.

The food, the service and the ambiance was wonderful.

There’s nothing better than a great Peruvian restaurant recommended by a proud Peruano foodie.

Some serious convos going on here at Kausa Restaurant with AMIGOS Henry Rivera, Santiago Caceres, Danay & Nando Rodrigues and Dalie Rivera.

The conversation, topics and familia vibe was todito.

It just felt like we all knew each other for ages and we getting together for a night out.

Nothing felt forced or awkward.

After dinner, we headed out to a couple of drinking spots in the city because no one really wanted to go home.

After dinner, one of our AMIGOS crew, Janie Morales, came out to hang out with us after along day of work as an audiologist. This was due to us ganging up to leave her voice messages that were bound to exacerbate her FOMO.

Counter Clockwise from left: Henry Rivera, Dali Rivera, Janie Morales, Stephanie Acosta, Danay, and Santiago Caceres.

I also had a chance to finally meet up with one of my online besties, Dali Rivera who is doing some great work in the area of anti bullying education. Funny side note, Dali CAN and WILL fit into a child car seat if necessary. (Inside joke)

The beautiful and strong Dali Rivera and effervescent Anastasia Millington-Gittens.

I also got to finally hang out with one of my favorite power couples, Nando Rodriguez and German Marin.

My fave couple, Nando Rodriguez and German Marin. Shhhh, Miss Leona is securely hidden under the table.

BTW: If you need an amazing photographer, German is THEEEE Top Online Dating Photographer in NYC.

Check out MrMarinNYC.com to view some of German’s gorgeous work.

Speaking of fabulous, Nando is a Breakthrough Coach who helps women entrepreneurs to conquer imposter syndrome, create unlimited impact, influence and INCOME.

I also got to spend time with the founder of Yogis Unidos, Stephanie Acosta before and after the dinner. I couldn’t believe after so many phone calls, chats and rooms hosted, that she was finally in front of me.

It felt like I was hanging out with a girlfriend I grew up with who I hadn’t seen in a long time.

Danay & Stephanie Acosta

Stephanie shares my passion for creating community and leading by example.

It’s this certified yoga instructor created Yogis Unidos to make yoga accessible to more Latinx communities. You can read more about her and the organization on PopSugar.

I also met Anastasia Millington-Gittens, a travel advisor and entrepreneur who literally sparkles with joy. It’s like she walks around with her own IG filter IRL.

Anastasia is a contributing author in a new book titled Nomads: Adventurous Businesswomen who are Changing the World while Traveling. I can’t wait to get my copy in the mail!

See, I told you she absolutely sparkes! Two of my favorite ladies, Anastasia and Stephanie.

Of course, the true star of the evening was Miss Leona who graced us all with an appearance.

Sadly, I have no photos to prove it, but I did get to carry her and love on her.

This meeting left me tremendously energized and full of ideas for growing and elevating our community.

Time to plan Miami, DC, Texas and beyond!

You’ll thank me 😘
