Running Update – 5 Miles!

I feel soooo much better. I ran 5 miles. It took me an hour and it was on the treadmill, but I had my little boy in time out and I needed to be around him to ensure he did his mandatory reading while in time out. So instead of taking him outside while I ran, I did it indoors and I got my 5 miles in.

What a difference this has made. This is why I love running so much. I was feeling physically miserable, bloated and cranky. I also was not being very patient with my family. But now that I ran, I feel great. I accomplished something, and I was able to work out my feelings, aggression, whatever it was that needed to be let out.

This leads me to ponder something I have noticed, which is that when I run, my demeanor is much better than when I dont run or when I put it off till later. I’m a much happier wife and mom after I run. Anyone else ever get that?
